FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is P³?

It is a PPM: a single system to manage projects, programs and portfolios. Of the 129 mapped features, eight belong to the schedule engine — the rest is about selecting the portfolio, sizing capacity, measuring performance with earned value, controlling cost and billing, and governing risks, issues and decisions.

Can I start with just one module?

Yes. Each module works on its own and talks to the others through the same master data base. The company starts with its most urgent problem, such as portfolio, schedule, capacity or contracts, and expands adoption when it makes sense.

Does P³ handle waterfall and agile projects at the same time?

Yes. Each project runs in waterfall, with critical path and Monte Carlo, or in agile, with backlog, sprints and velocity metrics. The same portfolio tracks both, with a single status light.

Does the framework adapt to my company's methodology?

Yes. Each project starts from a model: the classic PMI cycle, SAP Activate or the company's own model, built in the template library. Phases, workstreams, RACI and governance are adjusted to each project's context, without losing comparability with the rest of the portfolio.

Is there a model for SAP implementations (SAP Activate)?

Yes. P³ includes a model aligned with SAP Activate for SAP S/4HANA implementations, with the Prepare, Explore, Realize (build and integrated testing), Deploy and Hypercare phases and the project management, functional, infrastructure, change management, data conversion and roles workstreams, already chained together and with phase gates. The model is a starting point and is adjusted to the project.

Isn't Monte Carlo too complex for everyday use?

The complexity stays in the engine. The question it answers is simple: can we deliver in March? P³ runs the simulation and returns the essentials — the date at 50% and at 80% confidence. The result reads at a glance.

Does the system track contracts with customers and suppliers?

Yes. Each contract records term, value, currency, amendments and the penalty rule, and is linked to the projects that carry it out. Each contractual deliverable points to a schedule activity: the contracted date is compared with the forecast date, the status light changes when the deadline is at risk, and the projected penalty appears before the due date. Due dates at 30, 60 and 90 days trigger alerts, and the risk can be logged in RIDAC in one click.

Does the platform use artificial intelligence?

The artificial intelligence layer is under development: a copilot that answers, in natural language, questions about the open project. Today, P³ analysis comes from mathematical models in production, such as critical path, Monte Carlo simulation, earned value and the prioritization engine.

Can I migrate from the tool I use today?

Migration is possible whenever the information can be consolidated in standard market formats — and that is the most common way in. From that file, P³ imports activities, links, dates and resources. The first import is carried out together with your team.

Does P³ import from Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps?

Yes. P³ reads the .mpp file directly, without requiring Microsoft Project to be installed, and imports activities, links, dates and resources. The schedule can also be exported in XML, a format Project opens. Backlogs exported from Azure DevOps as CSV come in already converted into a project structure.

And with Teams, Outlook and Office?

P³ sends activities and RIDAC items to each owner's Teams chat and consolidates the replies received. Email follow-ups go out through Outlook, and replies can be read from the company mailbox, in Microsoft 365 or Gmail. Schedules and initial loads go in and out as Excel, presentations come out as editable PowerPoint, and attachments can be saved to the company's OneDrive.

Where is my data kept?

In the Microsoft cloud, in an environment isolated per customer, with automatic backups and two-step authentication. On the Enterprise plan, we formalize data processing in a DPA.

How does user access work?

Each person signs in with a password and an app code (two-step authentication) and sees what their profile allows: read, edit or admin, with the separation enforced on the server. Those who only carry out tasks follow their own activities on a dedicated screen. On the Enterprise plan, login can use the company directory (SSO).

Which languages does P³ work in?

In Portuguese, English and Spanish, both on the platform and on this site.

How does implementation work?

HeronMath prepares the company's environment and performs the initial load from template spreadsheets: companies, people, strategy, portfolio and schedules. The team then adjusts the information in the platform itself, with HeronMath's support on the first import.

Is there support material for users?

Yes. Every screen of the platform has its own help, with a step-by-step guide to the function.

How do I sign up?

By email at heron@heronmath.com.br. Pricing combines a one-time activation fee and an annual fee based on the number of editing users, and the proposal reflects the modules chosen.
